**Job Description**
The Sub-Section Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of military controls engineering program managers who are dedicated to the successful execution of various military programs. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in program management, controls systems, and military aerospace programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and manage a team of controls engineering program managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful program execution.
+ Develop and implement strategies to meet program objectives, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace's SQDC priorities.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to drive program success.
+ Monitor program performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure on-time delivery and cost targets are met.
+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging lean principles and best practices to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
+ Communicate program status, challenges, and successes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
+ Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in program management, with a focus on controls systems and military aerospace programs.
+ Demonstrated experience in people management, including hiring, training, performance management, and career development.
+ Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
+ Demonstrated experience in applying lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
