POSITION SUMMARY

The Subcontractor Operations Manager issues purchase orders, subcontracts and services agreements for the enterprise in a timely manner. Provides assistance with subcontractor defaults including administration of subcontractor default insurance claims. Provides assistance with operational compliance audits, as necessary.

Reviews contract documents, drawings, specifications, addenda, estimate and subcontractor/supplier quotes. Reviews and approves templates for subcontracts, purchase orders, and service agreements. Receives and reviews supporting documentation that is required to issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and service agreements. Tracks the receipt of items that are needed to issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and service agreements. Prepares, reviews, revises - as necessary - and issues individual purchase orders, subcontracts, and service agreements. At the general request and direction of legal counsel, negotiates terms and conditions with subcontractors and suppliers when they are amended by the project team, legal department, or risk management departments, as appropriate. At the general request and direction of legal counsel, conducts project audits to ensure compliance with subcontract terms and conditions and other operational compliance audits as necessary. Provides support to projects in accordance with the Subcontractor Claim SOP, and as needed to assist with subcontractor defaults and submission of subcontractor default insurance claims. Travel to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required. Regular and reliable attendance in person as required by your Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.

Management Responsibilities
If required, will be assigned by Subcontractor Operations Director.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Models and reinforces safety as a top priority of the organization. Always wears a hard helmet and other appropriate personal protective equipment in the field. Meets schedules and deadlines, adheres to policies and procedures, and maintains a good attendance/tardiness record. Ensures client satisfaction, both internally and externally, through positive, pleasant, professional and efficient handling of issues. Exercises good interpersonal skills by gladly assisting others to accomplish work of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Utilizes Microsoft Office-based applications and project management software systems appropriate for this role.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Reads, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Calculates figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Applies concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions. Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables.Organizes and manages time, duties and activities efficiently. Utilizes Microsoft Office-based applications and project management software systems appropriate for this role.

Education and Experience
Associate degree from two-year college or technical school AND 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
