Subcontracting Manager - Energy

System One is seeking a  Subcontract Manager for a  direct hire opportunity in  Houston Tx.

This position requires being bilingual and able to travel 40%.   

Main Responsibilities: Accountabilities: Accountable for sourcing, qualifications, due diligences and performance evaluations of installation and contraction subcontractors. The Subcontracting Manager coordinate the tendering process and provide expertise and related support to the subcontracting process from end to end for the sales and execution EPC projects. Development and maintenance of Subcontractors Portfolio for the Category Subcontractors Installation and Construction in EB. Subcontracting lifecycle from sales till project closing, ensuring compliance with Company Project order to delivery process, management Governance model and Corporate purchasing policies. Identification and sourcing of contractors for the EPC projects in sales and execution projects in Energy business.  Subcontracting Planning, subcontractors and subcontracting risk management, risk follow-up from the early sales phase through completion for the EPC projects.  To stablish NDA’s agreement with subcontractors and to Stablish a Subcontractors Networking as per assigned responsibility project-country. Coordinate the Tendering and Subcontracting in accordance with subcontracting process for the sales and execution EPC projects from sales to project completion.  To provide Strong cooperation and leadership in a new market, in regards to construction local laws, construction requirements for contractors, unions, etc. in a cross organizational cooperation with sales, Project Management teams, legal, etc. To Perform the assessments, audits, and compliance checking in line with the Supplier requirements and subcontracting tools.  To execute in cooperation with the project teams the Construction and Project Management capabilities analysis for the installation and construction Subcontractors in Energy Business.  To work in close cooperation with project teams (Project Managers, etc.) for execute the subcontracting in line with the sales and Project order to delivery processes. This include lead regular meetings with the stakeholders and actively participation in the milestones and gates meetings related to sales and project execution.  Participate in customer / stakeholder negotiations when needed and maintain good customer / stakeholder relationships  Identify, mitigate, monitor and report risks in own responsibility area. From sales to project completion.  To participate in the contract negotiations and contract awarding and responsible for the vendor commercial aspects, including vendor rating in line with the Supply requirements.  To maintain the qualifications and performance evaluations updated for the subcontractors in own responsibility area. In line with Supply and Category requirements  Maintain the portfolio of assigned subcontractors documentation, audits, KPI’s, etc. in line with the requirements for suppliers and in line with the specific Category requirements  To execute Subcontractors Performance evaluations.  Development Responsibilities:  Support in the Development of the Subcontracting Governance documents and processes including needed tools. Development support to the Subcontractors Portfolio Category management. Subcontractors feedback. Authorities: Has the authority to sign NDA’s and to select installation Subcontractors for specific sales or project needs. Has the authority to rate suppliers based on the Supplier Quality Assessment requirements. Has also the authority to sign installation contracts together with the authorized Project Manager in the jurisdiction were the project will be executed. Requirements:  High ethical standards  Excellent understanding of subcontracting processes and practices  Multiple years of experience in project execution  Availability to travel 40%.  Robust Knowledge in Construction Management  Good understanding of Contract management  Good understanding at Sales process  Experience and knowledge in Contract negotiations  Good analytical, and communication skills  Excellent problems solving and decision making  Cost Management awareness & effectiveness  Systematic and organized way of working  Fluent in written and spoken English & Spanish. Portuguese language is considered a plus. Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural environments Professional certification in Project Management considered as a plus Salary is between $130k - $155k with benefits.
