We are seeking to add a Subcontractor Administrator to our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and contributing to multiple fast-paced projects, we would like to hear from you.  In this position, the Subcontractor Administrator will be a part of a multi-functional subcontract management team that executes the procurement of major, complex components from the development of requirements to the completion of deliveries. You will serve as the acquisition procedures subject matter expert, with a focus on preparing RFPs, evaluating proposals, negotiating subcontract content, and preparing and documenting purchase orders and files; as well as processing subcontract modifications after initial award, and completing subcontract closeout after the completion of scope. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare bid packages, analyze and evaluate proposals, select or recommend subcontractors.Perform price analysis and use cost evaluations for the development of pre-negotiation strategies.Support negotiations, lead subcontract/PO documentation.Interface with government clients, technical personnel, and other functional organizations.Work with the subcontract management team, program management, and other areas of the business for the timely conclusion of contract matters and resolution of issues.JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science (BS) degree in a related disciplinefrom an accredited university or institution is required.Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.Experience with the procurement of materials and equipment within defense industry. Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as LMAP with associated knowledge of FAR / DFAR requirements.Ability to interpret policies/procedures and apply concepts.Demonstrated sense of urgency, self-motivatedExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a cross functional team environment.PREFERRED EXPERIENCEExperience working with government/military customers.Understanding of procurement from statement of work through to purchase order closure and price analysis.Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).Knowledge of the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).Ability to negotiate terms and conditions and pricing.CesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
