We are currently seeking a talented, detail-oriented Subcontracts Manager to join our leading company. This role is crucial to executing and managing our subcontract agreements and ensuring compliance following our organization's standards. As the Subcontracts Manager, your primary responsibilities will include the development and negotiation of subcontract agreements, supporting procurement activities, managing contract modifications, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and government regulations. A successful candidate will be a team player who can strategically balance the fiscal and legal aspects of subcontract management, while reinforcing our strong bond with suppliers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the process of contract administration, from the proposal stage through contract completion by leading the source selection process, including evaluating proposals, conducting negotiations, and selecting the best subcontractors based on predefined criteria.
• Monitor subcontractor performance for compliance with contractual obligations.
• Maintain thorough subcontract records for audit readiness.
• Using an understanding of contractual requirements and issues to work closely with Contracts and Office of General Counsel in ensuring quick issue resolution
• Prepare Subcontract Procurement Strategies for acceptance by the client.
• Develop and manage the process for obtaining consent to subcontracts, ensuring all subcontractors meet necessary requirements and standards.
• Work with project managers to ensure contracts are aligned with project requirements.
• Prepare Subcontract Procurement Strategies for acceptance by the client.
• Lead and mentor a team of contract specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, as well as legal requirements and government regulations.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including government representatives, to ensure alignment and successful contract execution.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role, particularly within procurement or contract management.
• Strong understanding of contract law and federal acquisition regulations (FAR).
• Familiarity with GSA/ AAS (FEDSIM) tasks.
• Ability to navigate complex negotiations and manage a variety of subcontract types.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Must have keen attention to detail.
