Subject Matter Expert, Assoc. Principal
Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Army Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work in the US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) Headquarters on Fort Bragg, NC supporting the Department of Army’s use and training of the Army Synchronization Tool (AST), which is the Army’s IT system of record supporting force management, sourcing, readiness synchronization, and integration. What you will do Develop AST training curriculum and classroom support material Train soldiers, DA civilians and contractors, on-site and virtually, on all aspects of Army Synchronization Tool (AST) functionality Maintain and update AST user manuals and administer video training tutorial links Develop and administer the AST strategic communication plan Manage AST users and system administrators Support daily AST sustainment functions Perform other duties, as required What you need to have Bachelor's Degree Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance Strong Army background with a minimum of 15 years-experience with Department of the Army, Department of Defense and/or Joint Staff force structure, programs, automation systems, and strategic operational requirements Demonstrated excellence in analytical and conceptual thinking skills Strong understanding of Army (or other military branch) process (specifically Readiness, Force Structure, Equipment, and/or Personnel) and/or systems Strong interpersonal, communication and teaching skills An ability to internalize rapidly unfamiliar concepts and systems, determine how best to leverage automation to resolve inefficiencies and improve collaboration Ability to influence stakeholders to determine acceptable / feasible solutions Proven documentation skills and demonstrable competency with: Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Share Point, Teams and Access Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Ability to effectively plan and organize with associated time management skills What we'd like you to have Recent, relevant military experience (Army preferred) 3-5 years of practical experience as a trainer About BigBear.ai BigBear.ai is a leading provider of AI-powered decision intelligence solutions for national security, supply chain management, and digital identity.
