Job Description:At Regions, the Subpoena Processing Specialist receives and processes incoming subpoenas and other requests for information. The position at this level is considered an expert and focuses on non-routine requests, typically complex and expose Regions to a high level of risk, requiring escalation to management and/or oversight teams. This position may provide guidance to junior specialists and assist in developing technical knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities
Receives and processes complex subpoena and other information requests, identifying and producing necessary documents in a timely mannerAdheres to established practices and policies during processing proceduresIdentifies non-routine requests and escalates to the appropriate team members and/or oversight team, ensuring adherence to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) standardsPrepares information request responses to external groups (e.g. government agencies, law enforcement, attorneys, courts, etc.) and collaborates for data collection efforts when necessaryMaintains and updates case management database and filesPrepares invoices for costs associated with production when necessaryLeverages knowledge and experience to solve complex problemsServes as a liaison between subpoena processing and eDiscovery teams when necessary, coordinating efforts related to complex, non-routine subpoenasMay offer guidance and advice to junior specialists, serving in a leader capacity when neededMay assist team management with projects or other administrative tasks as neededMay assist team management in evaluating team needs regarding technical knowledge development and skill gapsThis position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
