Position Summary 

 

We are expanding our arbitration team and will now include a rotation as a panelist.  The panelist will be on a rotation and serve a partial year, then be assigned to write cases.  The time as a panelist may fluctuate depending on business need.  This is a great opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of liability or subrogation experience, looking to get into arbitration.  If you are not currently a certified arbitrator, you will be required to immediately take and pass the arbitration exam in your first week of employment. 

 

Position Responsibilities 

 

Responsible for making sure all response arbitrations are filed timely and accurately.  We must defend and support our insureds and provide the best response possible. 

File Applicant arbitrations to add to subrogation collections and fight for insureds’ deductibles. 

Handle all arbitration correspondence. 

Pay adverse decisions promptly and address Post Decision Inquiries when applicable. 

Develop positive relationships with our adjusters.  Frequently, we need to partner with them for clarification on certain aspects of the claim to strengthen the quality of our filing. 

Maintain metrics of filing a minimum average of 7.5 arbitrations per day 

 

Position Qualifications 

 

3-5 years of automobile subrogation specialist, P&C insurance adjuster, or comparable experience. 

Must have superior communication, problem-solving, and writing skills.  

Must maintain cores as well as regular predictable attendance. 

Handle other duties as assigned 

Demonstrate the ability of being a top performer or excelling, in a metrics driven job function. 

High school diploma or equivalent. 

Proficient computer skills. 

Be detail oriented, possess excellent planning and organization skills, and manage deadlines. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

The ability to deal with conflict. 

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. 

Prior collections experience and/or phone work is a plus. 

Ability to meet individual goals and collaborate with peers. 

Elevated understanding of tort and collection laws that would apply to the given state and situation. 

The range for this position is $48, 800 - 81,400. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors. This job is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and Kemper benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
