Due to expansion in New Jersey, Signet Health is actively seeking a Substance Abuse Coordinator for our program at Valley Health in Ridgewood, NJ.

 

This position will maintain oversight over the substance abuse counseling services provided in the Recovery and Wellness medical detox unit. Maintain oversight over specified panel of substance-use disorder patients that range in health
status/severity high risk psycho social and clinical needs. Coordinate and facilitate high risk substance-use disorder
patient's care through the Valley Health Care System as it relates to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and
transition of patients care between healthcare organizations and community providers, ensuring the continuation of
safe, and quality care for patients at all settings. Operates systemically to best navigate and problem solve patient
needs.This role will also be responsible to collaborate on the following, developing and maintaining written objectives,
policies and procedures, and organizational plan and a quality assurance program for substance abuse counseling
services that are reviewed by the administrator; Ensuring that the behavioral and pharmacologic approaches to
treatment are evidence-based or based on universally accepted information to provide treatment services consistent
with recognized treatment principles and practices for each level of care and type of client served by the facility;
Providing or ensuring, and documenting, that direct clinical supervision is provided at least one hour per week to all
clinical staff, individually or in a group setting, with group supervision not to exceed 50 percent of supervision time, as
well as any clinical supervision requirements under N.J.A.C. 13:34C; Ensuring that substance abuse counseling
services are provided as specified in the client treatment plan and coordinated with other client care services, if
applicable, in order to provide continuity of care; Ensuring that the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of clients with
co-occurring disorders is provided by appropriately trained and qualified clinical staff and that the clinical supervision of
such staff is provided; Assisting in developing and maintaining written job descriptions for substance abuse counseling
personnel and assigning duties; Assessing and participating in staff education activities and providing consultation to
facility personnel; Providing orientation to and evaluation of new counseling staff prior to assigning them counseling
responsibilities;Ensuring that all counseling staff are properly licensed or credentialed in accordance with this chapter;
Participating in the identification of quality care indicators and outcome objectives and the collection and review of data
to monitor staff and program performance; Participating in planning and budgeting for the provision of substance a
counseling services; and Ensuring that clinical staff, including counselor-interns, are supervised by the appropriately
credentialed staff.

Requirements/Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program. Licensed Clinical Social Worker required Minimum of five years of experience in addiction services and be certified as a clinical supervisor or is an LCADC
