Substance Abuse Nurse Part Time Overnight

Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center has an opportunity in our detox/residential treatment center located in Ball Ground in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to impact other human beings in such an AMAZING way that it changes their life forever. We are looking for either an LPN or RN to work two 12 hour overnight shifts per week.

Our nurses are an integral part of our medical team. A qualified candidate must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with the physicians, clinical and admissions staff as well as with clients and their families.

Responsibilities Include:

Assessing our clients’ needs and performing health screenings, vital signs, and basic first aid procedures Safe preparation, administration & documentation of client medication Monitoring & reporting our detox clients’ signs and symptoms of withdrawal and response to ordered medication & therapies Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with the medical, clinical, and admissions staff as well as with clients, families, and other callers. Consistently meets facility and regulatory training requirements by attending all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions as required. Projects a positive role model image for clients and colleagues

Qualifications:

Education - Graduation from an approved nursing school. Licenses - Licensed as an LPN or RN- Must be unrestricted & active Experience - Considerable knowledge/experience in nursing philosophy, policy, practices, and procedures. Certifications - CPR / CPI required. (offered at the facility) Special Requirements - Knowledge in the disease of chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation preferred. Age / Gender Specifics - Ability to work with male/female adult substance abuse populations.
