Job Description:
Provide support to the substance abuse prevention and workers’ compensation programs. Additional responsibilities will be directed toward Kokosing’s medical surveillance program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate all activities associated with the company substance abuse prevention program including conducting substance abuse testing, policy administration, compliance and reporting. Assist in the administration of the second chance program, random program, pre-employment, and reasonable suspicion drug test issues.Coordinate and communicate regularly with the Medical Review Officer (MRO). Interact regularly with team members, occupational facilities and medical providers.Accurately report and maintain timely record keeping of results in multiple databases to complete compliance requirements. Assure timely and thorough completion of diaries and file documentation.Prioritize tasks, demonstrate sense of urgency to resolve issues, and guarantee responsiveness to situations as they arise.Assist in the intake and processing of workers’ compensation claims to resolution. Direct first-aid treatment and/or facility care. Analyze workers’ compensation claims and prepare claim summaries.Coordinate medical surveillance scheduling, tracking and follow up. Monitor and administer claims, generate reports, and communicate with team members, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel and lawyers.Provide recommendations for medical facilities for each new project. Assist in providing our treatment protocol to all facilities.Advise management of drug testing issues and on workers’ compensation claim status.Other duties as assigned by the workers’ compensation leader.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (Include Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations):
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.Five years’ experience in workers’ compensation/drug testing industry, as well as familiarity with medical terminology, preferred, but not required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
