$42 per hour and $63 per hour for overtime.

The Clinical SUD Supervisor provides quality treatment services to clients with substance use disorders using evidence-based and promising practices. The Clinical SUD Supervisor provides supervision to SUDPTs, SUDPs, and SUD Peer Specialists to include review of assessment, diagnostic formulation, treatment planning, progress toward continuation of services, authorization of care, and the direct observation of delivery of clinical care.

 

This position supervises employees and provides clinical supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

·      3 years as a licensed SUDP (does not includeSUDPT credential or experience) ·      Current SUDP license ·       Associate’s Degree in mental health, behavioral health, or related human services field  ·       Credentialed with the Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) in the State of Washington

PREFERRED/DESIRABLE

·       Bachelor’s Degree in mental health, behavioral health, or related human services field  ·       Experience working in substance use disorder field and/or residential services

PRIMARY/ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership, Management, and Supervision

·       Leads, supervises, and supports assigned staff.

·       Implements and executes personnel management processes to support recruitment, selection, orientation, training, supervision and evaluation of program staff, volunteers, and practicum student/interns.

·       Completes performance management tasks and continuous feedback and coaching for assigned staff.

·       Ensures clinical staff meet and maintain credentialing requirements.

·       Ensures adequate staffing and coverage for client services and program needs.

·       Engages in ongoing program planning and development.

·       Supports maintenance, execution, and tracking of program budget.

 

Client Services

·       Provides evidence-based and/or promising substance use disorder services through counseling, pyscho-educational classes, process groups, problem-solving and case management in accordance with program policy and the clients’ Individual Service Plan.

·       Diagnoses substance use disorders in accordance with the most recently published Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (e.g., DSM-5) and ASAM requirements.

·       Collaborates with other behavioral healthcare providers and community partners based upon the clients’ Individual Service Plan.

·       Maintains and files complete and accurate documentation of all activities on a professional, self-directed basis according to applicable WACs, agency, and funder policies.

·       Develops and maintains working knowledge of community resources.

·       Assists first responders as needed (i.e., police and medical personnel).

 

Communication and Teamwork

·       Must be available to perform the essential functions of this job whenever scheduled to work.

·       Leads interdisciplinary team meetings.

·       Attends shift/staff meetings and actively participates in planning, coordination and communication of all types, which will contribute to the delivery of quality professional services.

·       Utilizes critical thinking and judgment to identify the most professional therapeutic reaction or intervention in client care.

·       Documents observations in daily notes in accordance with program policy.

·       Promotes and models teamwork and collaboration with coworkers.

·       Ensures client and employee safety by maintaining, cleaning, and disposing of equipment and supplies according to policy and procedures.

·       Provides consultation, educational presentations, and other outreach activities on behalf of the Pioneer.

 

Quality Assurance

·       Maintains quality of care consistent with or exceeding standards set by federal, state, local, internal, and contract requirements.

·       Assists in the development of treatment methodologies and educational offerings in accordance with client needs as determined by program leadership.

·       Adheres to professional and ethical standards for behavioral health services.

·       Retrieves client and program data as needed.

·       Completes peer file audits to ensure accuracy and quality of documentation and services.

·       Develops and maintains program policies and procedures in collaboration with program leadership and Quality Assurance and Risk Management.

 

Clinical Training and Development

·       Provides clinical supervision to SUDP/Ts and signs off on their work.

·       Actively participates in agency supervision toward obtaining and maintaining licensure, in support of evidence-based practices, and in accordance with applicable WAC and RCW requirements.

·       Obtains additional training required by applicable WACs and in accordance with annual training plan.

·       For positions in 24-hour locations, obtains and maintains a valid Washington State Food Handler’s permit within one week of hire.

·       For positions in 24-hour locations, becomes CPR & First Aid certified within 90 days of hire (or as soon as possible) and maintains throughout employment
