In this role, you will provide direct and supportive care to clients, overseeing their day-to-day activities, intervening in crises, and facilitating group education and structured activities. You will possess a basic understanding of client treatment plans, monitor and document client behavior, and create a safe and therapeutic environment for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Encourage clients to adhere to program expectations and communicate concerning behaviors to the treatment team.Participate as an active member of the treatment team to identify clients' strengths and needs.Facilitate urine collection, testing, and documentation per policies and procedures.Respond to crisis calls while practicing good customer service and effective communication.Assist and educate clients in performing daily activities as needed.Ensure all clients are accounted for during scheduled activities.Foster adaptive behavior in clients through positive social interaction and role-modeling.Maintain a safe and clean environment, observing good housekeeping rules.Complete all mandatory trainings within the required time frame.Attend staff and treatment team meetings as requested.Complete other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

High School education or equivalent, plus two (2) years of responsible employment.Experience in Human Services or a related field preferred.MAADC I or II certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing substance use and mental health treatment.Effective communication skills to produce clear and concise reports.Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, and procedural manuals.Basic keyboarding skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records.Ability to establish rapport with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
