As a Substance Use Disorder Technician, your primary role involves providing direct care and support to individuals dealing with substance abuse disorders in different settings like residential treatment centers, outpatient programs, hospitals, and correctional facilities. Working closely with licensed counselors and therapists, you will implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances, which may include facilitating group therapy sessions, leading one-on-one counseling, and conducting psychoeducational courses.

Provide direct care and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders in various settings such as residential treatment facilities, outpatient programs, hospitals, and correctional institutions.Assist licensed counselors and therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for clients, including group therapy sessions, individual counseling, and psychoeducational classes.Monitor client progress, document observations, and maintain accurate records related to their treatment and recovery process.Facilitate recreational activities, educational groups, and life skills training workshops that promote personal growth, self-esteem, and relapse prevention strategies.Administer medications under the supervision of medical staff, ensure proper medication management, and report any adverse reactions or noncompliance issues.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (e.g., nurses, social workers, psychologists) to address clients' physical, emotional, mental health, and social needs during their recovery journey.Maintain a safe, supportive, structured environment that encourages clients to develop healthy coping mechanisms, build positive relationships, and practice responsible decision making.Educate family members and significant others on addiction, codependence, enabling behaviors, and resources available for their own healing and support.Develop crisis intervention strategies and respond appropriately when clients experience distress or exhibit harmful behaviors, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.Follow ethical guidelines and legal regulations relevant to confidentiality, informed consent, mandatory reporting, and other aspects of professional conduct within the addiction treatment field.Participate in ongoing education, trainings, and supervision to enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities in working with diverse populations affected by substance use disorders.If hired for a SUD Tech & Driver position: You will transport residents as directed by supervisor. Must meet driver requirements and maintain a clean driving record.Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED/HiSetExperience in the field of addictions or behavioral health preferredLived experience in active recovery from addictions is helpful (but not required)Additional Qualifications:
