The mixture of our talents to offer all aspects of substation/switchyard design services, our trained resources to get the job done, and technical knowledge allows us to design a multitude of solutions to fit the client’s need. **Job Summary:** The Substation Civil Engineer will work within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable preliminary drawings and design of site/foundation/structural components for High Voltage Substation Facilities in accordance with applicable industry codes and standards and Request for Quote (RFQ) scope of work ensuring constructability of design. This position requires the individual to provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to less experienced engineers within the department. **What we Offer:** We offer a competitive highly compensation & benefits package for all full-time employees. The salary range for this position is starting at $100,000 - Commensurate, depending on relevant experience, education, and qualifications. We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits to share in the mutual success! In the past, these have ranges between 3.5% - 11.5% of annual salary. + Medical, Dental, and Vision effective your 1 st day of employment + 401(k) with company match (immediate vesting) + 120 hours (about 15 days) of paid time off (PTO) + 10 paid holiday days + Flexible work schedule (every other Friday off) + Opportunity for advancement and career growth + Employer-sponsored Life Insurance, short-term and long-term Disability Insurance + Gym Membership Stipend + Tuition Reimbursement + Wellness Program + Pet Insurance **Who You Are:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university + Professional Engineering License is required + 4-15+ years of experience in the Engineering/Design of Civil/Structural systems + Utilities or Energy Industries experience is a big plus + Experience with the analysis and design of concrete foundations (Ipile, risa), anchorage systems, and the review of structural steel and connections, preferred + Experience with site drainage design, grading, surface/sub-surface drainage plans, and cut and fill requirements **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Provide civil & structural engineering services during the proposal, design, and construction of AIS and GIS projects with strict adherence to the project contract. + Work with project lead engineer to develop the design criteria and document deliverable list for the project. + Provide engineering and design support in specific civil & structural engineering areas including but not limited to the following: + Substation/Switchyard general arrangement review + Estimate civil & structural quantities + Grading & drainage design + Foundation and calculation design + Anchor bolt plan and detail design + Steel structure calculation and design + Building calculation and design + Equipment specification + Material and construction specification + Signing and sealing the design package + Resolve the civil & structural site issues during construction + Perform construction and field engineering support on projects during construction stage + Travel to client sites/field as necessary.
