Job Title: Substation Design Engineer
Job Description

We are currently seeking a mid-level Substation Design Engineer in Houston. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project oversight and maintaining communication with clients on specific projects. The role requires an understanding of forecasting and project budgeting, as well as experience working within teams. Qualified candidates should have over 3 years of experience in the Power & Utilities industry.

ResponsibilitiesProvide project oversight and ensure effective communication with clients.Manage forecasting and project budgeting.Collaborate with team members and work within a team environment.Perform substation design and engineering tasks.Engage in project management, relay coordination, and protection & control (P&C) design.Design and implement electrical systems for power distribution.Essential Skills3-7 years of experience in substation engineering or design.3-7 years of experience in protection & control (P&C) or physical design.Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design.Experience with MCC (Motor Control Centers) and switchgear.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with substation engineering, power delivery, and power generation.Knowledge of SCADA systems.Qualifications in substation engineering, physical design, and P&C.Work Environment

This position is remote with an eventual transition to an office setting. The timeline for this transition is not yet determined. Benefits include paid time off (PTO) and holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
