Job Title: Substation Drafter
Job Description

We are searching for a Drafter/Designer to join our Substation Design team in Maitland. This individual will provide computer-aided drafting and design support in AutoCAD and MicroStation for electrical substation engineering projects.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review detailed substation drawings, including plans views, sections, details, steel structures, and foundations, electrical schematics, wiring, and connection details.Work from engineering markups, sketches, and/or verbal direction.Create and modify working design documents using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CADD programs.Collaborate with engineers to interpret drawing markups and incorporate design feedback.Perform quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with client CAD standards and procedures.Maintain and organize drawing sets, revisions, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Essential SkillsProficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.Strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment.Experience with physical drawings to scale.Understanding of paper space/model space.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior utilities drafting/design experience is a plus.Design experience preferred.Experience in electrical substation design, including arrangement, elevations, conduit plan/details, grounding plan/details, and control house layout.Work Environment

Collaborative office in Maitland with 12-15 employees, including engineers, PE, designers, drafters, and support staff. Site visits are to be expected. Flexible schedule with potential for hybrid/remote work. There are 20+ engineering offices across the US.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
