Job Title: Substation EngineerJob Description Seeking an electrical substation engineer to support power delivery projects. Responsibilities + Grow and manage relationships with local clients. + Mentor less experienced staff in substation project execution. + Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates, and project scheduling. + Ensure quality procedures are followed and that the team is resourced in an optimal manner. + Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients across multiple offices. + Manage all schedule, budget, and quality of assigned projects. Essential Skills + Substation design + Physical design + One-line diagrams + Three-line diagrams + Experience in 345kV through 500kV substation design Additional Skills & Qualifications + BSEE (BS in Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS in Electrical Engineering Technology) degree from an accredited university, preferably with a power option. + Professional Engineering license (PE) + Experience in 15kV through 345kV physical and electrical substation design, and IEEE/ANSI standards. + Experience in managing 5 or more people on a project team. + Experience filling the role of project engineer for several projects occurring concurrently. + Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills. + Must have experience running projects on their own. Work Environment This role typically requires being in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with an initial requirement of five days a week for about a month. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $56.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
