Substation Engineer Intern

Primary Responsibilities

Substation Design Interns will perform tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Project Engineer, Project Leader, or Project Manager. Tasks may include:

Assisting in the design and development of for power substations, which could include structural and foundation design.Assist Substation Engineers in preparing design packagesDevelop, prepare, and modify substation drawings, including A/C diagrams, D/C schematics, and logic and functional diagramsPerforming simple calculationsParticipate in field reviewsPerform other duties as needed

Preferred QualificationsPrefer 2 years completed towards engineering degree with a 3.0 GPACourses in Power/Energy a plusDemonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industryExperience with computer-aided design programs (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.) is desired but not required for consideration.
