Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineering Intern, Protection and Controls, to join our team. This position will be a part of our Renewables Division. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

 

This internship is for Summer 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasksProject research, fieldwork, observation, and preliminary design calculationsTake personal responsibility for the quality of tasks performedUses CAD/PLSCAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts, and estimatesPerforms routine analysis to check the accuracy of data and work products Required Skills Electrical Engineering major (Junior, Senior, or Master's student) Required Experience Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized fieldGrowing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programsBasic knowledge of the firm’s policies, practices and proceduresBasic knowledge of software required for positionGood organizational skillsAble to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations Preferred Experience AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting experience a plus.
