Substation Power Delivery Designer/EIT

In the role of Power Delivery Designer/EIT, we'll count on you to:Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications)Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresComplete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projectsWork with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as neededWork under the direction of the Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).Prepare calculations, design sketches and redline drawings.Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.Typical designs include one-line diagrams, protection and control schematic development, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cable sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding.Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical EngineeringEIT or the ability to obtain. Candidates hired without their EIT will be titled “Substation Power Delivery Designer” and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionLocal candidates preferredRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in EngineeringComputer skills in Microsoft OfficeAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
