**Substation Project Lead/Project Engineer** Location **Columbus** Job Code **17074** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=17074) **Substation Project Lead/Project Engineer** **Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities** POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Substation Project Lead/Project Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department in our Columbus office located in New Albany, Ohio. Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (employee will need to live within driving distance of the office). **Responsibilities** + Manage relationships with alliance clients + Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations including one-line diagrams, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, selection of substation equipment, writing of substation equipment specifications, proposal development, construction cost estimates, and project scheduling + Ensure POWER quality procedures are followed + Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients + Manage schedule, budget, and quality of assigned projects + Occasional travel will be required **Required Education/Experience** + Ability to function as a Substation Project Lead/Project Engineer in the Columbus office of our Substation Business Unit + Experience in 15kV through 138kV substation design and IEEE/ANSI standards + Experience filling the role of project lead for several projects occurring concurrently + The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel + Candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship **Desired Education/Experience** + Experience in 230 kV through 500kV substation design + Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or a relevant technology + Ten (10) or more years experience in utility substation design is a plus + Experience in managing 3-5 people on a project team At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
