Responsibilities + Provide a warm, safe, and caring environment for children that will promote learning and a positive self-image, reflecting Racker’s values as defined in the Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct + Carry out plans and programs for children as assigned by the teacher, including possible one-to-one assignment with a specific child + Personal care including toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting and positioning + Share information with classroom and management team + Effective communication as a member of the team, including participation in appropriate meetings + Promote open communication and mutual understanding + Attend training required by program regulations and as directed by supervisor + Contribute to a positive work and learning environment for children in program as well as co-workers – must be professional, courteous and confidential + Provide ideas and show initiative to help develop the educational setting + Uphold standards of professionalism with regard to behavior and dress + Other duties as assigned + Bring your creativity, energy, and love of children! Qualifications Education, Experience, & Skills: + High school diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years old by date of hire. + Effective written, verbal and communication skills. + Related experience preferred. Physical Capability + Ability to physically assist children to participate in the program; ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds; ability to engage in repetitive movements such as sitting/kneeling on floor, bending and stooping; ability to move quickly to attend to a running child.
