Ames Community School District is seeking Substitute Educational Assistants for the 2024-25 school year. Enjoy a flexible schedule - work when and where you want: preschool, elementary, or secondary grades. Responsibilities/Essential Functions: + Supports teachers in meeting the needs of students in all classrooms including special education. + Supports academic instruction with small groups of students. + Supervises students during other components of the school day. + Accepts work assignments on-call. + Creates a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all students. + Onsite work required. Qualifications: + Ability to relate effectively to children with different academic and behavioral needs. + Must complete the following trainings prior to starting as a substitute EA: Bloodborne Pathogens, Mandatory Reporter, and Seclusion and Restraint: Chapter 103. (Ames CSD will provide training instructions upon successful completion of background check.)
