Every day as a Substitute Teacher you will:
Prepare lesson plans to include content and instructional goals, incorporating student knowledge and abilities and delineating available resources.Instruct students in academic areas by engaging students in learning, using a variety of presentation techniques, teaching relevant content, providing specific and timely feedback to students, and assessing progress.Utilize appropriate and approved therapeutic interaction skills with studentsProvide guidance and direction to support staff by sharing information, delegating responsibilities, providing feedback and training, and engaging staff in planning and scheduling tasks and activities.Adhere to professional responsibilities relative to certification and organizational and center best practices.Effectively communicate student progress to parents/guardians and home school district, responds to parental concerns engaging the family in the instructional process.You will be Offered:

A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments.

QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Education or related field and Substitute Teacher Certification required.
Experience: Experience working with individuals with intelletual and /or development disabilities and/or behavior disorders.
