(GFY) is seeking a SUE Crew Chief to join our St. Petersburg team. This position will primarily plan, organize, and direct work of a survey crew to determine precise location for a variety of utilities. Responsibilities: + The Crew Chief is responsible for all aspects of field surveying and being in charge of a field crew. + The responsibilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Must be able to read and understand civil engineering and survey plans. + Must have a thorough knowledge of generally accepted land survey procedures and field execution of work and accurate note keeping for boundary, topographic, right of way and other surveys. + Must be able to operate and or direct the operation of an electronic data collector, GPS equipment, optical & robotic total station and digital & optical leveling equipment. + Must be able to make informed decisions in the field. + Responsible for maintaining a safe work site environment for all crew members. + Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual. + Responsible to care for and maintain all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issued by the company. + Out of town travel may be required.
