Job Title: SUE/Survey Technician
Job Description

We are currently seeking hardworking and career-driven individuals to join our survey and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) field crews. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Crew Chief in completing assigned field survey or utility locating projects. This position starts in the SUE department, utilizing underground utility locating equipment and digging test holes to measure the depth of underground utilities.

ResponsibilitiesAssist the Crew Chief in completing assigned field survey or utility locating projects.Use underground utility locating equipment.Dig test holes to measure the depth of underground utilities.Perform heavy physical labor, including operation of Vac Truck Equipment, jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose, and air lance.Perform daily basic maintenance on equipment.Cross-train in surveying and support survey crews when needed.Essential SkillsReliable and hardworking.Desire to grow a career within Geomatics, Surveying, Construction, Utility locating, Concrete, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Ground-penetrating radar, Vac truck, General labor, GPS, and Excavation.High school education or GED.Ability to perform heavy labor.Ability to work outside in extreme heat and weather conditions.Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check.Willingness to travel extensively, up to 5 days during the week.Willingness to work overtime as needed.Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious utility locating or survey experience is a plus.Work Environment

The work environment involves working outdoors in extreme Florida weather conditions. The position requires working in 2-4 man crews, with 29 field employees operating out of the office.
