Job Description

We are seeking a SUE Technician to work on a variety of projects throughout Texas, with a primary focus around the DFW area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in locating and designating various types of utilities, including water, sewer, gas, electric, and telecom. This role involves fieldwork almost 100% of the time on transportation and municipal projects. The candidate will be responsible for accurately locating utilities such as air, water, and pressure systems. Attention to detail and the ability to interpret blueprints are crucial. Proficiency in using a Vac Master is required, and the main current need is for someone skilled in designating telecom utilities.

ResponsibilitiesLocate and designate various types of utilities including water, sewer, gas, electric, and telecom.Work in the field on transportation and municipal projects.Accurately locate utilities such as air, water, and pressure systems.Interpret and understand blueprints.Operate a Vac Master efficiently.Designate telecom utilities as a primary responsibility.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in utility locating and designating.Experience in the subsurface utilities engineering (SUE) industry.Proficiency in telecom utility designating.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsTelecom experience is highly preferred.Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors with some travel to Houston, El Paso, and other areas in Texas. Candidates must be comfortable working some overtime. The average workweek is 45-50 hours, with occasional weeks extending to 50-60 hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
