Sugar Warehouse - Water Plant Superintendent

Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table.  We are America’s first and only producer of certified organic sugar, grown and harvested in the United States. OVERVIEW

The Sugar Warehouse -Water Plant Superintendent is responsible for all operations in the Sugar Warehouse including all the warehouse throughout the Okeelanta site. Sugar Warehouse -Water Plant Superintendent will be responsible for the supervision and management of the entire personnel in the area.  These functions include but are not limited to managing the inventory, warehousing operations, planning and forecasting, working hand to hand with the environmental group to enforce federal and state required policies.

 

 

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet daily efficiency targets and work to reduce downtime to achieve targets. Analyze and review all standards for production and ensure compliance with the schedule. Comply with all OSHA safety requirements. Ensure that employees’ safety training is conducted as required by company policy. Make sure that all PPE and GMP policies are being followed by all. Ensure safety inspections and safety talks are completed based on requirements. Maintain and improve inventory accuracy of the warehouse and coordinates required transfers with related departments

 

WORK EXPERIENCES

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. The Sugar Warehouse -Water Plant Superintendent will have 10+ people reporting to him/her as well as 1 supervisor so following up and organization skills are essential. Able to be trusted with highly sensitive and confidential information at all times. Experience with, and ability to create & maintain various management reports. Must have intermediate computer experience, ideally with SAP, EWM, and Microsoft products. Excellent skills in estimating rates, adding, and subtracting mentally while constantly multi-tasking. Reconciles daily activities including receiving discrepancies and inventory accuracy. Ensures that all storage areas are organized and clean daily.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Three or more years of proven accomplishments in the supervision of warehouse employees, including training, coaching, and team building. College degree and bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Must meet hiring eligibility requirements including background investigation and drug screen.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Directly supervise and coordinate the day-to-day duties of the warehouse supervisor and union employees Ensure Labor Contract is followed by all employees and reports any potential violation. Initiate disciplinary measures according to the Labor Contract. Review hourly employees’ performance and identify training needs Review daily reports with operations management
