What It’s Like
The People Science team at T-Mobile is dedicated to understanding and addressing people-related challenges within the organization. We lead, implement, and evaluate research-based initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee experience across the enterprise. Our team manages the Our Voice employee survey program, providing valuable insights through data analytics, reporting, and storytelling to support enterprise people strategy.
What You’ll Do
As an Intern Analyst of People Science at T-Mobile, you will play a crucial role in helping our team pursue greater organizational effectiveness. You will assist in the development and validation of psychological assessments and surveys, ensuring they are both reliable and valid. Your knowledge in advanced statistical analysis will be essential for conducting complex data analyses using tools like SPSS, R, or Python to uncover valuable insights that inform decision-making. You will leverage your academic knowledge to research various industrial-organizational research topics culminating in white papers summarizing your findings and translating those insights to business application.
You will also work to bridge the gap between people and business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for continued improvement across the enterprise. You will design, propose, and implement research initiatives, including both quasi-experimental and survey-based methodologies, to address pressing organizational questions. You will assemble evidence-based recommendations and data visualizations into presentations to consult and support various T-Mobile organizations, helping to enhance employee performance and well-being across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Statistical Analysis: Conduct complex data analyses using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) to uncover insights and inform decision-making; includes psychometric validation of survey data and/or statistical models.
Business Intelligence Analysis: Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving organizational effectiveness.
Org Research Design: Design and implement research studies, including quasi-experimental and survey-based methodologies, to address key organizational questions.
Consulting: Provide evidence-based recommendations and consulting support to various departments to enhance employee performance and well-being.
What It Takes
Master’s degree (MA/MS) in industrial-organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or comparable field.PhD Candidate preferred.Proficiency in data collection, research methodology, and advanced statistical analysis.Strong analytical problem solving.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Minimum Qualifications
At least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesMust have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Graduate degree programEmployees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for InternshipsEmployer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
