A successful candidate with work with their mentor to adopt, develop, and apply gene regulatory network inference methods to several bulk/single-cell expression of both static and dynamic varieties following genetic / pharmacological perturbation. In particular, the goal will be to evaluate and identify a standard experimental and computational strategy for unravelling the signaling circuit of disease-associated transcriptional regulatory factors towards ultimately identifying critical biomarkers to inform patient selection. Throughout this process, the candidate will not only have the opportunity of working with large-scale multi-omics datasets, they will also be able to learn about key decisions driving precision drug discovery as well as gain first-hand experience balancing independent and collaborative research in an industry R&D setting.

Key Responsibilities

Implement published gene regulatory network inference methods as pipelinesBenchmark experimental/computational method/parameters for mechanism deconvolutionIdentify optimal setup based on biological relevance in the context of patient data
