Summer 2025 - Customer Data Platform Internship

POSITION TITLE:  Summer 2025 - Customer Data Platform Internship

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The individual serving in this position will get an exciting opportunity to learn all about how AEO’s customer data flows from the moment a customer interacts with us, to the moment we gain insights with that data and use it to personalize marketing campaigns. They will also serve a key role in improving our internal data quality processes to ensure our data is cleansed and ready for use by downstream teams.

This role will be exposed to marketing and technology team members and will work closely with our PGH based Sr. Engineer and our offshore development team to understand the data and the process for testing our code and data.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be paired with our senior engineer for the summer, who will mentor them on data flows, processes and use cases Will be responsible for making updates and improvements to our automated unit testing process that ensures we have quality measures in place on our data and that our code works effectively as designed, and output is what the business expects This will require coding experience but you will have the support of the team and learn a lot about python and sql code and unit testing! Will assist the team with various documentation tasks such as data flow diagrams and enhancing wiki pages as needed, to help ensure we are providing quality detailed information to downstream teams on our processes.

 

INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

The internship will be 10 weeks from May, 27th 2025 until August 1st 2025 Each intern will be considered seasonal/temporary in nature Each Intern will be assigned a Coach & Mentor to guide them through their experience Each Intern will be assigned a project which will be presented to AEO Management at the conclusion of the Internship Relocation assistance provided to be local & work at the AEO Pittsburgh, PA Corporate HQ 

 

TRAINING OVERVIEW:

Opportunities to learn about different areas of the Technology business  On-the-Job training with assignments guided by an individual Mentor Classroom learning  Roundtables with top level executives  Midpoint and final self-evaluations to understand progress throughout program  Pre-planned events around Pittsburgh to get to know the city that AEO loves to call home!

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Students are eligible after they have completed their junior year at a 4 year college or university Preferred majors include Computer Science, Information Management, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, minor in marketing preferred as well Minimum 3.0 GPA required Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting High degree of proficiency in the Google collaborative suite

 

PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION: Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
