POSITION TITLE: Learning & Development Intern
REPORTS TO: Lead - Learning & Development
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will support the Learning & Development team, with a primary focus on AEO's full time training program (Teammate Training Program) and internship program. They will also provide administrative support and gain exposure to learning programs (Leadership Development Series, Close Knit Co-Mentorship, Emerging Leaders, etc.) and AEO Academy (internal learning management system). They will have additional opportunities for exposure and support to the broader Talent Management team (recognition, onboarding, etc.) The person who is right for this position loves to come to the table with new ideas, has a strong attention to detail, enjoys planning (and attending) associate events and has a passion for learning new things!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with the L&D team and business to prepare for the summer programs, with a focus on event planning and associate engagement opportunities Helps to kick off and support training program orientations for internship and Teammate Training Program (in-person and virtually as needed) Manages travel coordination process for incoming training program new hires Updating training program materials (ex: program workbooks, virtual training, Google site, etc.) Creates a welcoming and exciting day 1 experience for incoming associates in our training programs Support administration and logistics of events for programs and tracking updates, as needed Moderates program roundtables, as needed Support creation and management of modules in AEO Academy to support learning initiatives Helps create and distribute communications for full-time training programs, and other programs, as needed Exposure to additional roles and tasks in Talent ManagementQUALIFICATIONS:
Students are eligible after they have completed their junior year at a 4 year college or university - students who have graduated accepted as well Interest in entering Human Resources field Ability to come into the Pittsburgh office - about two days per week to start Strong public speaking and presentation skills Self-motivated with critical attention to detail Passion for planning events and engaging experiences - experience a plus! Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with Google Workspace tools a plusPay/Benefits Information:
Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
