Petcare Supply Chain Internship Experience
As a Petcare Supply Chain Intern, you will gain exposure to the following areas:
Information Delivery:
Uses SQL, Tableau, and other analytics tools to create datasets and visualizations that address Supply Chain needs Identify and implement automation processes to simplify recurring reporting and analytics tasks Recognize areas of improvement within the Information Delivery systems and continuously improve processes to ensure our Customer receives “Best in Class” Customer Service and Metrics. BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics or equivalent business experience Operational knowledge of SQL Experience with Analytical Tools / Applications (Alteryx, Dremio, Azure Data Bricks, etc.) Data Visualization experience such as Tableau or Power BICustomer Supply Chain:
Management of all customer sales orders, domestic or Mars Affiliate, from receipt through the delivery to customer warehouse and distribution centers, ensuring high level of customer service. Process owner between customer, sales, and supply organizations to ensure adequate timing and volume requirements are in place to manage the customer’s day to day inventory levels, promotional activity, and new item launches/discontinuations Ownership of load tracking and issue resolution from origin shipping location to customer destination. Responsible for order entry accuracy, including to ensure the right products are ordered, the correct method and location of shipment are applied to the order, and adequate lead time is given to ensure on-time delivery to the customer. Proficient management of customer data in SAP and related systems including Customer Material Information Records, and other databases. BA/BS degree, in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related field. Key Functional Competencies & Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel/Analytical skills, Customer Service, Customer Facing, Written and verbal communications, SAP (Preferred).Logistics:
Ensure on time delivery for Mars Petcare outbound shipments. Ensure shipments have assigned carriers by following an established routing guide. Utilizing the TMS system to process shipments, assign appointments and assign reason codes. Work with carriers to secure shipment coverage and address issues that come up throughout the life cycle of the shipment. Collaborate with Mars sites and internal teams to ensure on time delivery to customers. Maintain a desk guide to ensure all processes are up to date and accessible by the team.BA/BS degree, in Supply Chain, Transportation Management, Logistics, Business or related field.
