What It’s Like
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Program Manager Intern to join our Corporate Security Organization. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in conducting physical security assessments, assisting with security designs, and supporting the development of policies and standards. The ideal candidate is eager to learn about security management and contribute to enhancing our organization’s safety.
What You’ll Do
Conduct on-site evaluations of various corporate facilities, identifying security vulnerabilities and areas for improvement to provide actionable insights that enhance the overall security posture of the organization and ensure the safety of employees and assets. Assist in reviewing existing access control measures and suggest improvements or new technologies based on best practices which could lead to Improved efficiency of access control processes, reducing the risk of unauthorized entry and enhancing overall security. Help draft and update physical security policies and procedures to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Work with project management, architectural and general contractor teams to develop tailored security recommendations for corporate facilities to ensure that specific vulnerabilities are addressed.
By engaging in these projects, the intern will not only gain valuable experience and skills in the field of physical security but also make a tangible impact on the organization’s security framework. Their contributions will help foster a safer work environment, promote a culture of security awareness, and support the ongoing improvement of security measures across the organization. This internship will serve as a steppingstone for a future career in security management and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in conducting physical security assessments of corporate facilities to identify potential vulnerabilities.Support the design and implementation of physical security measures, including access control systems and CCTV technologies.Help draft and update security policies and standards in alignment with best practices.Collaborate with team members across the company on security assessments to ensure compliance with established guidelines and procedures.Assist with documentation and reporting of security incidents and assessments.What It Takes
Basic understanding of physical security principles and practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Desire to obtain ASIS CertificationsMinimum Qualifications
At least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesMust have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree programEmployees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for InternshipsEmployer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.
Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
