Our Education Visualization and Analytics Solution (EVAAS) provides educators with powerful analytics and visualizations for reflecting on practices and planning for students’ future needs and goals. Now more than ever, educators need reliable data and tools on students’ learning and future success.
The EVAAS team is a specialized division at SAS that focuses exclusively on education solutions, and we partner with state education agencies and districts across the country to support their analytic, consulting, and reporting needs. Our mission is to provide educators with information to make sound instructional choices and use resources more strategically to ensure that every student has the best chance to succeed.
As a Research Statistician Intern on the SAS EVAAS (Education Visualization and Analytics System) team, you will be responsible for developing and writing advanced modeling code that makes a difference in the lives of students and educators. Our team of highly skilled statisticians is responsible for research and design of advanced modeling techniques that are used by educators around the country.
As an intern, you might:
Learn, collaborate, and develop advance analytic models in the education space. Write code that pushes the boundaries of computing capabilities for large complex models. Writes code that visualizes outputs from models in meaningful and novel ways.Required Qualifications
Degree Type: Currently pursuing a PhD degree Targeted majors: Statistics, Applied Statistics, Psychometrics, Measurement, Econometrics You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2025. Must be highly organized and forward thinking You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do. Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph. D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
