Technical Support provides technical support to customers, internal staff and partners. This support is related to the overall management, installation, configuration, tuning and maintenance of SAS environments deployed on the SAS Business Intelligence Platform. Ulitmately, this technical support helps customers achieve their business goals. Maybe you have worked on your schools helpdesk and now want to take that learning further.
As an intern, you might:
Work with customers who are experiencing outages or interruption in service related to their SAS Business Intelligence software during a significant portion of your day.A significant portion of your day will include working with customers who are experiencing outages or interruption in service related to their SAS Business Intelligence software. Evaluate, set and manage internal and external expectations, including escalation activities and communications. This is often under pressure where decisions have a significant business impact for SAS and/or customers.Communicate with the customer by phone, email and/or TEAMS while troubleshooting the problem
Required Qualifications

Maybe you have worked on your school’s helpdesk and now want to take that learning further. We’d love to hear about it!Are you an engineer who likes fixing things? Cars, robots, lego?Windows or Unix Person or both – we don’t mind.Not being afraid to ask questions over and over again.
Internship dates: May 20, 2025 – August 8, 2025. We can be flexible on start date if your university is on a quarter system. Internships last 12 weeks in total length.
Location: SAS Cary HQ preference, but open to remote (US based only)

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph. D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
