Primary Purpose of Position:
Assist Project Managers with the coordination of all aspects of commercial real estate development projects and complete certain assignments as determined by the Regional Development Teams. Specific Regional location to be determined based on business needs.
We are currently hiring for three positions based at our offices in Boston, MA, Washington, DC, and Los Angeles, CA.
Essential Functions:
Assist one or more Project Managers in coordinating the development process for a property or properties under development. Depending on the stage(s) of the project(s), activities may include assisting a Project Manager with the following: Creation or maintenance of a project development schedule. Preparation of budget models for acquisition or development. Assistance with the due diligence process for an acquisition. Participation in design meetings with the architects and engineers. Negotiation of project legal documents and contracts. Participation in marketing/leasing strategy sessions. Negotiation of lease documents. Attendance at Tenant meetings. Participation in pricing exercises with the general contractor. Attendance at weekly construction progress meetings. Assist Project Manager(s) in coordinating the interface between the leasing, legal, construction and property management groups within Boston Properties and with outside consultants. Gain exposure to these internal departments and understand their roles and contributions to the development process.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field. 2-5 years of real estate or related project management experience preferred. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to produce quality work in a consistent manner. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Adaptability to changing demands. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while under pressure. Ability to interact with coworkers, contractors, tenants, and/or vendors in an articulate, courteous, and business-like manner at all times. Results oriented. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or to work as part of a team. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Proficiency in financial modeling, design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, etc.), and/or ability to interpret and markup construction drawings preferred, but not required.

Involves work of a general office nature usually performed sitting such as operation of a computer. Involves work of a general office nature usually performed standing such as operation of a printer. Involves movement between departments to facilitate work. Involves work such as tours throughout property portfolio, including to construction sites, usually performed by walking and by climbing stairs. May be occasionally required to move/lift up to 25 lbs.

$50.00/hour.
