Job Description TASK FORCE: Information Systems UNIT: DevOps JOB TITLE: One (1) Summer Intern CONTROL CODE: OTH Intern-25-01 SUMMARY: The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor’s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities. OMB’s Information Systems DevOps Unit is a cross-functional team that collaborates to streamline software development, deployment, and operations through automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD.) By bridging the gap between development and IT operations, DevOps enhances software reliability and efficiency while fostering a culture of collaboration, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement. We also integrate low-code platforms like Microsoft Power Platform and Appian to accelerate application development, automate workflows, and enhance business process management. JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a motivated Microsoft Power Platform Intern to enhance reporting capabilities within our current asset inventory application. The intern will leverage Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) to create insightful dashboards and automate workflows. If time permits, the intern will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new Power Platform applications to streamline business processes. QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Basic understanding of relational databases and data modeling. Experience with Power BI report creation and data visualization techniques. Knowledge of automation workflows and connectors in Power Automate. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently. Basic programming experience with Power FX and SQL is a plus. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working on Power Platform projects in an academic or professional setting. - Understanding of application lifecycle management in Power Platform. - Exposure to Microsoft Dataverse and SharePoint integrations. - Strong documentation and communication skills. SUMMER COLLEGE INTERN - 10234 Qualifications As of June of the Program year the prospective interne must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year). NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program, June - August each year.
