Our Helpdesk internship provides students with the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment. As we enter our ninth successful year of the Summer College Internship Program, we are looking for highly motivated, hardworking individuals who like to problem-solve, lead projects, participate in key business leader relationships, and recommend improvements to existing processes. Responsibilities in this role include:
Contacting our employees to gather information, imaging computers, installing applications, transferring data from the old computer to the new computer, ensuring the old laptop is returned, updating printer firmware, and replacing desk phones. You are expected to provide a high level of customer service, demonstrate exemplary interpersonal skills, and always maintain a professional attitude. With the hiring manager's support, you will develop a project charter to map out objectives, identify key stakeholders, and establish timelines and deliverables. As an intern at Michigan CAT, you will work cross-functionally and across state lines, collaborate with other interns, and participate in various activities and events throughout the summer! Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor program with an accredited college
• Currently pursuing an IT career
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks (May through August)
