Our comprehensive functional accounting rotational internship program is designed for those who are eager to gain a broad understanding of the real estate industry specific to the financial side. This program offers a unique opportunity to rotate through four critical teams: Property Accounting, Lease Administration, Records Management, and Real Estate Tax.
ResponsibilitiesProgram Responsibilities
Property Accounting: Interns will dive into the financial aspects of property accounting, learning about the accounting principles and financial reporting that support real estate operations. Lease Administration: In this rotation, you will explore the contractual aspects of lease management. This includes building a foundation in lease agreements, revenue recognition, tenant relations, and recurring responsibilities that occur on a monthly, quarterly, and annually basis.Records Management: This segment of the internship will provide hands-on experience in managing records electronically in our new Digital Records Management platform. This role focuses on supporting the digitization and integration of documents, ensuring easy management and retrieval while ensuring records are maintained accurately and securely.Real Estate Tax: Interns will be responsible for assisting with the administration of the real estate tax appeal process, tax payment validation and various real estate tax related reporting activities.Interns will also provide reception desk coverage on a rotating basis.Program Benefits

This exposure is invaluable for professional development and future career opportunities. Qualifications• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate college degree program.
• Must be in good academic standing, with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Committed to working 40 hours per week during the 10-week program.
• Previous office and accounting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel.
• Strong sense of ownership and pride in one’s work.
• Strong organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely articulate results.
• Excellent work ethic with a desire to learn.
