ResponsibilitiesThe Human Resources Summer Intern delivers assistance and administrative support to the HR and Learning and Development team on various projects. This role will provide personal and professional development through job shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities.
This is a 10-week internship.
Work on projects in partnership with team members and business leaders to understand business needs and provide solutions to drive employee performance, engagement, training, workforce planning and retention.Present new and improved concepts and ideas, to support the HR & L&D teams to achieve Admiral’s strategic objectives.Conduct audits of data and other HR programs.Assist in the creation and enhancement of our employee development programs using learning management system (LMS).Create internal communications, Excel documents and PowerPoint presentations.Contribute new ideas and participate as a productive member of the department, including attendance at meetings.Participate in initiatives to modernize HR efforts and support process improvement projects.Assist with ad-hoc HR projects/reporting. Qualifications Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree with a focus in Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, Organizational Development, Business, or a related program/field preferred.GPA of 3.0 and above required.Rising Junior or Senior student is preferred.Interest in enhancing classroom learning through practical career-related work experience within the industry.Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment.Strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.Demonstrated knowledge of basic HR principles. The hourly rate based on a 37.5 hour work week is $25.00 an hour.
