Summer Intern, Marketing

Supporting our Interior Design and Construction Management teams, the Marketing Intern role will focus on supporting and coordinating various marketing and communications initiatives in order to meet BGIS’s business growth objectives. You will be collaborating with our leadership and management team in the development of marketing and branding materials that will potentially receive extensive visibility with our top tier customers and prospects. As part of the team, you will play a key role in supporting us in creating collateral and marketing assets for social media.

You will be engaged and ready to support our leadership team with your graphic design and creativity in the development of various marketing, branding, and business developmental collateral and assets, as well as your data management and research capabilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Social Media Campaign Support

Support the launch and management of social media accounts for BGIS’s design and construction team. Collaborate with management team to understand business needs and support the design of the campaign’s scope, key objectives, and targeting strategy.

Data Gathering

Assist with gathering, compiling, and presenting collateral into an easy to read and understand format (especially for presentation purposes).

Digital Marketing Support

Support the development of digital marketing collateral, including developing a consistent design throughout all of BGIS’s marketing materials across all mediums (i.e., proposal and presentation templates, web content, logos, etc.) Support the creation and enhancement of new marketing assets using Adobe Creative Suite.

Brand Awareness & Demand Generation

Assist with building and executing social media strategy to promote BGIS brand awareness. Support the management of social media editorial calendar and execute content marketing strategy.

Content Development

Support the creation of consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms (e.g., Linkedin), including writing and editing social media posts with the goal of improving customer engagement. Support the development of social media content such as infographics and digital content. Work with subject matter experts and Marketing team to generate social media content. Coordinate translation of marketing content.

Knowledge & Skills

Currently working towards a University or College degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or other related disciplines. Basic to intermediate understanding of and experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools, Adobe InDesign tools, and Photoshop. Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent communication skills (written, speaking, presenting, and active listening) in English. Savvy with visual arts trends, digital communication, and marketing principles. Experience using social media management platforms. Effective administrative and project management skills. Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow. Drivers’ license and access to a vehicle.
