The Position

Join our metrology team as an intern and contribute to process improvements in equipment calibration and procedure development. In this role, you'll assist in optimizing temperature mapping and standard operating protocols, while collaborating on projects to enhance equipment servicing and in-house calibration capabilities. Your work will support our broader goals of operational efficiency and future growth, providing you with valuable hands-on experience in the field of metrology.

This is a 12 week Summer Internship Program paying $19.00/hr.   

Responsibilities

Temperature Mapping Procedures Research regulatory requirements related to temperature mapping Review current in-house and vendor service protocols for Arrowhead refrigerators, freezers, and walk-in units Develop new procedures that align with industry standards Test and validate the new procedures by performing temperature mapping on the respective units Catwalk Systems for Overhead Work: Collaborate with the Environment, Health, and Safety team to establish regulatory requirements and best practices Engage with vendors to obtain quotes and design plans for catwalk systems Develop a comprehensive execution plan, including pricing and design proposals, for leadership review

Requirements:

Currently enrolled student at an Accredited University or College and majoring in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related area of study Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to work in a lab setting for prolonged periods of time Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time

Preferred: 

Familiarity with engineering drawings, including Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, and Control Wiring Drawings Experience troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related challenges Hands-on experience working with automated equipment in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of or experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Wisconsin pay range $9,120—$9,120 USD
