Position Summary
Looking for a great summer internship experience? Here’s your chance to gain valuable work experience with a leading health care provider!
This internship will begin on 5/27/25 and the duration of the internship program is 12 weeks. Please note that this is a hybrid position; some work will be done in our Portland offices and some remotely. Interns must live in Maine throughout the 12-week program. The pay rate is $20/hr.
Job Description
Compliance and legal team members function as collaborative partners who help drive achievement of our business goals and objectives while meeting the set expectations of an effective compliance program. The Compliance support team helps all areas within the organization in the identification, mitigation, and monitoring of compliance risks, in alignment with the seven elements of an effective compliance program.
The primary focus of this internship is to work on projects related to, but not limited to the following:
· Documentation gathering for auditing/monitoring activities as part of organizational oversight
· Evaluation and communication of regulatory guidance
· Updating and indexing internal audit documentation
· Documenting and reviewing policies, procedures and workflows
· Assessment of Health Plan annual documents
Skills, Education and Experience:
+ Currently enrolled in two or four-year degree program
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
+ Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner
+ Comfortable working remotely as part of a team and independently
