*Agency Overview* The Division of Local Services is responsible for ensuring fairness and equity in local property taxation, overseeing local accounting and treasury management, interpreting state laws that affect local governance, distributing monthly local aid to cities, towns and school districts, maintaining a comprehensive municipal finance data warehouse, and providing municipal financial management consulting services and training. * * *Bureau/Division Overview* The Financial Management Resource Bureau advises municipalities on opportunities to improve their financial management operations. Our project management team Bureau provides a wide range of published guidance, presentations, training, tools and project-based consulting services. * * *Position Summary* The Data Analyst Intern is responsible for providing consultation, instruction and project support to our team and municipalities on data and visualization projects. Primary duties include preparing and maintaining data; performing analysis that contributes to the bureaus training, guidance and tool for local officials; and conducting ad hoc analysis and data visualizations to support the team.
