The Global Real World Evidence Hematology team at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (Global Commercial Data Sciences, Global Commercial Strategy Organization) is recruiting a PhD-level Intern for 10-12 weeks between May and August 2025.

The Global Real World Evidence Hematology team at J&J IM plays a critical role in supporting medical and commercial strategy across our myeloma and early products portfolio, designing and executing studies using data collected outside of traditional clinical trials to understand patient outcomes and unmet needs in real-world settings.
As a summer intern, you will gain real-world experience working on high-visibility assignments to generate and utilize real-world evidence (RWE) supporting our hematology portfolio. Summer associates will work closely with strategists, researchers, and product leads within the Global RWE Hematology team to:
**Support global RWE strategy development by thinking creatively about how to address key evidence gaps, identifying appropriate data sources and proposing cutting-edge research design and analytic solutions**
**Design observational research studies (e.g., systematic reviews, secondary database analyses, chart reviews, qualitative interviews)**
**Conduct study analyses and present results**
**Prepare high-quality written documents, including research reports, presentations, and scientific publications**
**Support ad-hoc requests through desk research, internal/external literature reviews, and materials development**
**Collaborate with diverse cross-functional partners within J&J, including Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial, to support evidence generation activities for pipeline and marketed products.**
**Lead internal thought leadership initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant healthcare research trends, policies, and regulations**
**Learn about the observational/real-world research life cycle within J&J, from study concept generation through dissemination of study findings.**
**Required Qualifications:**
**Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Epidemiology, Statistics/Biostatistics, Population Health Sciences, Health Services Research, or another related field with strong applied quantitative research experience (e.g., Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Social Work)**
**Strong foundational knowledge in observational study design and statistical analyses; deep understanding of data structures and how to address common limitations of epidemiologic research**
**Ability to summarize and communicate complex scientific information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences**
**2-3 years of prior work experience in an office environment; non-industry work experience is acceptable**
**Proactive and conscientious team player; receptivity to one-on-one coaching/feedback within a highly collaborative and supportive environment**

**This internship is based in Raritan, NJ; on-site requirements and specific start/end dates will be discussed during the application process**
**Applicable pay range:** $22 per hour to $51.50 per hour
The anticipated base pay for this position is between $22 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
