When you join our team, you bring to the table your unique talents along with shared values of excellence and integrity. Many of our most valuable company leaders began their careers as interns.  Summary: Our Summer internship allows college students to learn our industry, right where the action takes place. This will be a hands-on experience for students, to learn the industry from the ground-up. You’ll work alongside some of the best in the asphalt business. This a great opportunity for students with minimal or no industry experience to gain first-hand knowledge. 
 
The internship program may provide experiences in the following area: Project Management Overall Introduction to Asphalt/Paving Operations and AggregatesQuality Control process Safety program Qualifications and skills: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant degree Valid driver’s license. Prior full-time experience is not required. Must possess the ability to learn technical processes, high-level verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Salary Posting:

We are excited to share the base range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity. In addition to our base compensation, we also offer a competitive benefits package for full time employees (more information on benefits listed below).
