This internship will begin on 5/27/25 and the duration of the internship program is 12 weeks. Please note that this is a hybrid position; some work will be done in our Portland offices and some remotely. Interns must live in Maine throughout the 12-week program. The pay rate is $20/hr.
Job Description
We are looking for someone excited to learn more about Supply Chain and bring their experiences and knowledge to our team. Our team manages vendor relationships through open communication and shared accountability. We support our internal customers by negotiating contracts, purchasing goods and services, and managing inventory.
Over the course of the summer, this position will receive exposure to all areas of Supply Chain, which will require interactions across Martin’s Point.
Using job shadowing and standard work, learn the functions of Supply Chain at MPHCAssist in Supply Chain implementation of new ERP system by reviewing/loading contractsWork on creating Standard Work for new ERP systemAssist with notifying vendors of MPHC new tax exempt statusWorks closely with customers to clarify order requirements and create purchase orders within approved purchasing systemsSkills, Education and Experience:
Currently enrolled in two or four-year degree programProficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table experience preferred)Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively, and be able to prioritize tasks within an assigned projectDesire to ask to questions and collaborate with team membersAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet and professional mannerWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
