The Opportunity
We are seeking a responsible, energetic intern for the Research and Early Development team who will be involved in a variety of projects related to AAV capsid research, including screening on cell lines, binding assays, mechanistic characterization, next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics. Ideally, this individual will have taken advanced courses in molecular biology, has hands-on laboratory experience, and is actively pursuing scientific research as a career.What You'll Be DoingContribute to screening AAV capsids by transduction of various cell linesContribute to screening AAV capsids through Octet BLI or ELISA binding assaysContribute to studying the transduction mechanism of AAV capsidsAnalyze NGS datasets from in vitro/in vivo experiments using bioinformatics pipelinesAttend lab and project-specific meetingsPresent findings at company-wide research fairIt is imperative that REGENXBIO employees embody our core values by working collaboratively, building strong relationships and using clear communication to meet shared objectives.What We're Looking ForB.S. in biological sciences, preferably actively enrolled in M.S. or Ph.D. program (letter of approval from mentor or program chair required)Experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques is preferredExperience with molecular biology assays (Western blot, ELISA, DNA/protein extraction, PCR) is preferred.$22 - $26 an hourWhy You Should Apply
